"Cloud" computing is fast becoming as universal a concept (and reality) as a cell phone signal. The "cloud" is the term for universally accessible data, and programming/software resources (such as word processors). You don't need a computer--use the one at a library or internet cafe. You don't need software--use free online software. Google alone provides free tools and free storage, free email, free web sites, free blogs, and more. This course will show you how to use these tools to create your digital resources accessible anywhere you can access a computer (including, of course, your own) or your smart phone. Macwebsitebuilder, an online web design tool (and the tool used to create the website you are reading now), is an example of a cloud resource. For example, this course description was created at one of the many wi-fi hot spots on Orcas using publicly accessible computers.
