Building your web page, Intro, macwebsitebuilder, 60 minutes

Comments:

Price: $80.00

This course is designed to show you how to build a web page using Macwebsitebuilder, a browser-based web design system. Do not despair if you do not understand the course requirements; you might best be served by taking the "General Questions Intro" course first.

Macwebsitebuilder is a powerful and, in the instructor's opinion, high-value-added web site design tool that virtually anyone can use to build and maintain a web presence. It has several features: a wide variety of page layout choices, browser-based operation (which means you can use any computer that connects to the internet), e-commerce features if you wish to sell items, a simple (enough) and easy (enough) design philosophy so that almost anyone can create an attractive, functional, maintainable web site without any need for Prozac, ibuprofen, or double espressos.

The Student Projects section describes several web sites on Orcas that have been constructed using Macwebsitebuilder. Two examples of web sites that were constructed by individuals who did not take JoeBay U courses are Gordeaux's and Local Goods; you don't necessarily need a JoeBay degree to do this!

Requirements:

* Access to high speed internet (DSL, wi-fi)

* A small quantity of funds (~$20/month or ~$192/year)

* Access to a digital camera strongly recommended.

This web site (JoeBay U) has been constructed using Macwebsitebuilder.
