This course is designed for any student at any level, but in particular may be helpful to introductory students (at any age). The purpose of the course is to answer any question, no matter how basic, regarding digital tools.Tools for which the instructor is qualified are: Macintosh hardware and software selection and recommendations, PC hardware and software suggestions, Macintosh or Windows operating system tours and guides, general purpose software for either Mac or PC such as wordprocessing (MS Word for Mac/PC, Pages for Mac), spreadsheet software (Excel, Mac or PC), database software (Filemaker Pro), web browser operation (Firefox, Safari, IE), web page design tools (iweb / Mac ; macwebsitebuilder / Mac or PC), digital camera operation, backup software and routines, external hard drives, MobileMe and synching with iPhone or iTouch, social networking basics (Facebook, blogs), and more.
No question too simple or basic. No prior knowledge required of anything related to any digital tool. If the instructor disqualifies himself to be able to answer your question thoroughly, you will not be charged for that component of the course.
